The Turbo Spice Story

It all started on the day Bernie couldn't find his favourite seasoning spice.
"We are out of my favorite spice mixture" he bemoaned to his wife Kami, "and there are way too many single spices in this cupboard. I am going to create my own spice mix.”
And so he did.
It went first through two versions, creatively titled "#1 Spice
and #2 Spice."
Then it happened. The perfect blend of flavours. The problem? Bernie forgot to write it down this time. This batch was appropriately designated the title of "Bernie's Mistake". It began to show up on everything edible, not only in his own home, but in the home of friends and family who were beginning to request the spice for their own tables.
And so began the process of trial-and-error to recreate the mysterious blend before it ran out, and at last the day came when Bernie had captured both the blend and the recipe. The spice became the default gift for every occasion where one might be needed.
But there was a new problem. As spice poured out, refill-requests came pouring in. Bernie realized that he would have to create a marketable product in order to meet the demand.
Knowing next to nothing about starting a business or creating a product, They banded together as a family, each one bringing their own unique set of skills to the table, and proceeded to wade their way through the murky waters of the start-up process.
Eventually, they had product to present at local farmers markets. Along with positive feedback, came encouragement from other vendors to approach retail stores who support local artisans, leading the little spice company to overcome the hurdles of retail food sales. Today, Turbo Spice is available at more than 15 retailers throughout B.C.
"When we hear of someone with Turbo Spice on their table, we feel in a way that we have been invited to sit and enjoy a meal together with them. It thrills us when we hear how Turbo Spice is shared with others and is showing up on tables around the world including Hungary, Germany, Switzerland, Florida, Texas, The Solomon Islands, New Zealand, France, and throughout Canada." - The Lichti Family.
