It all started when Bernie turned to Kami and said, “We’re out of my favourite spice mix — and there are way too many single spices in this cupboard. I’m going to make my own.”
So he did. What began as a simple idea quickly turned into a family project. Countless test batches, taste tests, and plenty of honest feedback from our kids and family friends. Finally, the day came when Bernie said, “This is it!”
Turbo Spice soon found its place in Kami’s everyday cooking and became a staple at our family table, adding big, bold flavour to every meal we shared with friends and loved ones. It didn’t take long before people started asking for containers of their own, and Bernie’s blend became our go-to gift for Christmas, birthdays, and weddings.
As the requests kept rolling in, we realized we couldn’t keep giving it away, so we decided to make it official. Kami named it Turbo Spice because it made every meal faster and easier to flavour, no matter how many people gathered at our table.
Together with our daughter Lydia, Kami started bringing Turbo Spice to local farmers’ markets. Encouragement from other vendors inspired us to take the next step, getting it onto the shelves of retail stores that support local artisans like us.
Today, it’s our greatest joy to know that Turbo Spice has found its way onto dining tables across BC, and even around the world from Hungary and Germany to Florida, Texas, the Solomon Islands, New Zealand, and beyond.

Turbo Spice is an all-purpose blend. Shake it onto anything that needs a boost of bold flavour: eggs, veggies, grilled meats, soups, popcorn, you name it.

Why not offer a salt-free version?
We’ve tested it— but with no salt, it just doesn’t taste like Turbo Spice. The good news? We’ve kept the salt content lower than many comparable blends and use Himalayan pink salt, which contains no anticaking ingredients.
Does Turbo Spice contain MSG?
Nope. No MSG here.
Does Turbo Spice contain sugar?
Not a grain. Turbo Spice is 100% sugar-free.

Is Turbo Spice gluten-free?
Turbo Spice does not contain gluten-based ingredients. However, please note it may have come into contact with products that do contain gluten during manufacturing.
